Happy Tuesday! Today’s Top Ten Tuesday is Characters I’d Like To Switch Places With (submitted by Sara @ A Gingerly Review).
Let me tell you, this was not an easy topic because, in all honesty, I would die if I were to switch places with the majority of the characters I read about. 😜 The main genre I read is fantasy and I am not a hero or fighter by any stretch of the imagination. I am most like the characters that sit on the sidelines trying to help the heroes of the story in any way that they can.
The characters that I chose for this list are ones whose position I would like to be in and would have made different decisions than. Because, let’s face it, even our favorite characters make choices that we wouldn’t have made that almost got them killed.
Plus, I must admit, I chose a lot of the characters on this list simply for their love interests… I mean, did you honestly think I wouldn’t jump at the chance to be able to meet some of my dream guys? Let alone be their actual love interest? 😉
The following are in no particular order…
∴ Rhaenys Targaryen (A Song of Ice and Fire Series) ∴
I am really on Game of Thrones kick right now and I have been really immersing myself in the lore surrounding the world. I would want to switch places with Rhaenys Targaryen because of the world she got to see and the position of power that she had. She had her own dragon, was a queen, and got to live at a time when a new world was beginning. I can’t begin to imagine the things she has seen and the adventures she had been on during her life.
∴ Tessa Gray (The Infernal Devices Trilogy) ∴
Tessa is on this list for many reasons. Her ability to shape shift, the time periods that she lived in, her being a Shadowhunter, and… you know… Will Herondale.
∴ Manon (Throne of Glass Series) ∴
I would like to switch places with Manon because of the world she lives in and who she is. I love the witches in this world and being able to ride a wyvern would be a dream for me. Plus, I would LOVE to have Abraxos as my wyvern!
∴ Feyre (A Court of Thorns and Roses Series) ∴
I would like to switch places with Feyre for a few reasons. They include having her powers, being a part of the Court of Dreams, and having Rhysand as a mate (of course). I mean who wouldn’t want her life? Post ACOWAR of course.
∴ Seraph Black (Seraph Black Series) ∴
I would like to trade places with Seraph because of her powers and her pairs. Plus, her world is one of the only ones that I think I would have a good chance of surviving in.
∴ Sang (The Ghost Bird Series) ∴
I would like to trade places with Sang simply for her love interests. Every one of her guys is great and I have always been jealous that she has all nine of them to herself. Where is my Mr. Blackbourne or Dr. Green? ☹️
∴ Jacqueline (The Grey Wolves Series) ∴
I would like to switch places with Jacque because of the world she lives in and because of her friends. I would LOVE to be best friends with Jen and Sally. I would have nonstop fun.
∴ Caro (Forever Evermore Series) ∴
I would like to switch places with Caro because of the position that she is in, her friends are to die for, her abilities are awesome, and her love interests are absolutely great.
I would like to switch places with Katy for her powers, her love interest, and for the world she lives in. I love the Lux universe and being friends with them would be awesome.
∴ Tammy (New Species Series) ∴
I would like to switch places with Tammy because of her love interest and the world she lives in. Being able to live in a world with the New Species would be incredible and a dream for me. If I were able to actually meet one, I might pass out from joy. Tammy gets to do way more than meet one and I would switch places with her in a heartbeat.
