Sunshine Blogger Award | Take Two

**My first take can be found here**

Hello Lovelies! I was nominated a couple of months ago for this award again and, at the time, my mother has just passed away from a heart attack and I took a break from blogging. Well since I’m back now, I decided to do this post because it meant so much to me to be nominated a second time byย Ally @ Ally Writes Things and especially at the time that I was nominated. Here is the post where she nominated me if you wanted to check it out.

๐šƒ๐™ท๐™ด ๐š๐š„๐™ป๐™ด๐š‚:

  1. Thank the person/persons that nominated you and link back to their blog
  2. Answer the questions your nominator has provided
  3. Nominate 11 other people and give them 11 new questions to answer
  4. List the rules and display the award

๐™ผ๐šˆ ๐™ฐ๐™ฝ๐š‚๐š†๐™ด๐š๐š‚:

1. If you could co-author a book with anyone, who would it be and why?

SARAH. J. MAAS!!! There could be no other answer for this question!!! I just love her books and her writing style so much and I would be honored to co-write a book with her.

2. If you could read a book for the first time again, which book would it be?

ACOMAF! It is my favorite book of all time and, while I love rereading it each year, it just isn’t the same as that first time. And there is truly nothing like reading your favorite book for the first time.

3. Are there any books you wish you didnโ€™t read?

The Neighbor #4 because this book just made me so incredibly angry and was a complete waste of my time. I. HATED. IT.

4. Whatโ€™s your dream job?

This probably isn’t too surprising, but my dream job would be an author. I would just love to walk into a book store one day and see my book sitting there on a shelf. It would just be a dream come true!

5. What was your favorite book you had to read for school?

Ohhh.. This was more of a tough questions because, let’s just be honest, I hated every book that I had to read for school… But I dug deep, and remembered I had to read The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe for school one year and I absolutely loved it! So that would have to be the answer.

6. Why did you start your blog?

About a year ago, I started finding other blogger’s website when I looked up book reviews. I had been watching BookTube for years and I never had the confidence to make a channel so when I found out that book blogging was a thing, I realized it would be perfect for me. I wanted to find a place to share my love of books and my opinions on them, so I started Autumn Book Reads and… here we are!

7. Whatโ€™s been your favorite book of 2019 so far?

Probably Remember Us This Way by C.R. Jane because that book just grabbed me from the very first page and just combined so many of my favorite elements. I just couldn’t, and still can’t, get it out of my head for the life of me.

8. Who was your favorite childhood author?

I discovered Cassandra Clare and her enrapturing Shadowhunters universe when I was ten years old and I fell in love! If you have read my About Me page, you know that I dedicate my whole love for reading to her and, to this day, she is still one of my favorite authors.

9. Whatโ€™s your phone background?

I’m not exactly sure what this question means… But if it is what I think it is, the most phone experience I have is answering them for my mom when her office was super busy.

10. If you could meet any fictional character, who would it be?

This question is SOOOOO hard because there are just SOOOOOO many that I want to meet!!! I just love them all and I would do ANYTHING to meet any of them! BUT if I had to pick one, I would say Will Herondale because I just love him so much and we could talk about books for hours and *exhales dreamily* it would just be perfect!

11. What fictional character do you aspire to be like, and why?

Probably Sang from The Ghost Bird. She just always seems to find the bright side in everything and, despite all that has happened to her, she is still so happy and just a great person.

๐™ผ๐šˆ ๐š€๐š„๐™ด๐š‚๐šƒ๐™ธ๐™พ๐™ฝ๐š‚:

  1. What is the worst character death you have ever read?
  2. What book would you own a hundred copies of if you could?
  3. What two characters, from different series, do you think would make a great couple?
  4. Who was the first blogger you ever followed?
  5. What character do you wish you could swap places with for a day?
  6. If you could get an ARC of any one of your most anticipated releases, which would it be?
  7. What is your least favorite book you have read this year?
  8. What is a book or series that you feel is overrated?
  9. What is a series you have been wanting to get into, but keep putting off?
  10. What is a hyped book you have no interest in reading?
  11. What is your favorite female and favorite male character?

๐š†๐™ท๐™พ ๐™ธ ๐™ฝ๐™พ๐™ผ๐™ธ๐™ฝ๐™ฐ๐šƒ๐™ด:

Top 5 Wednesday | SFF Book Bloggers

Hello Lovelies! Today’s Top 5 Wednesday topic is:

SFF BFFs -BooktubeSFF Awards Crossover Topic-
โ€” Discuss your favorite friends in Scifi and Fantasy, or characters youโ€™d be BFFs with.

I ultimately decided to change this topic a little bit and make a post about five awesome book bloggers (who talk a lot about sci-fi and fantasy) that I consider my friends. All of the people below are absolutely wonderful, make great and unique content, and are always spreading love around the community. I highly encourage you to check them out!

Plus, a few weeks ago, one of the topics was Favorite SFF Booktubers, so I thought I’d shine some light on some book bloggers this week.

โˆดย Su @ Bemused Bibliophile โˆด

Su is just SO wonderful and a constant joy to talk to. We are always chatting back and forth over little things and it is something that I have come to really look forward to.

โˆดย Erik @ BreakEven Books โˆด

We just recently found each other when we bonded over our love of Red Rising and the GIFT that is Sevro au Barca, but we Erik and I are fast friends.

โˆดย Ally @ Ally Writes Things โˆด

I always look forward to Ally’s posts. She has some of the most unique and thought provoking discussions on her blog. I highly enjoy talking to her.

โˆดย Octavia @ Mythical Reads โˆด

Octavia and I have gone back and forth over many different things and we have even collabed together! I love talking to her and our collab is one of my favorite posts that I have done. It can be found here if you are interested.

โˆดย Laura @ Laura Reads and Writes โˆด

Laura and I bonded over our love of Sarah J. Maas books and then things seemed to take off from there. We started talking about other authors, our favorite books, TV shows, movies, and just every day life. Now, I talk to her every day!

Plus, she is the only other person I have met that prefers Robb Stark over Jon Snow… KING ROBB FOREVER!!

Thank you for joining me today! Those were just a few of some amazing people we have in the bookish community! I’m hoping to do more posts like this in the future because there are SO many more book bloggers that deserve recognition. I hope that you check these people out (if you haven’t already)! Also, please feel free to leave a link to your T5W post so I can check yours out!

Bookshelf Swap, Collabs

Bookshelf Swap with Octavia @ Mythical Reads

Screenshot_2019-04-29 Artstudio โ€“ Dashboard

Hello Lovelies! I am SOO excited to announce a new feature on my blog: Bookshelf Swap! I collaborated with Octavia @ Mythical Reads to do this post today and I highly encourage you to check out her book blog! She is so great and she does a lot of unique posts.

What is Bookshelf Swap?

Bookshelf swap is where you swap pictures of a bookshelf with another blogger and make a post about each others’ bookshelf. You discuss what you have read, how you felt about the books, which books are on your TBR, which books you added to your TBR, and any other general thoughts about their shelf.

I can’t take all of the credit for this, as I originally saw Lauren @ Northern Plunderer do it. I have changed part of it slightly though. Instead of the whole bookcase, I chose to only highlight a couple shelves at a time so you don’t get as many repeat books.

I’m always open to collabing with other bloggers! If you would like to do this with me, you can DM me on Twitter or Instagram or go to myย Contact page and fill out the form.

Hereย is the link to Octavia’s post where she talks about my bookshelves if you want to check it out! ๐Ÿ’•

Octavia’s Bookshelves:

๐Ÿ”ฎ Octavia’s Bookish Items:

  • I happen to really love the purple minion and find it so adorable!
  • The candles say Atlantica and Nesryn & Sartaq. I happen to love bookish themed candles and I really wish I had more! There are just SOO many great companies out there and I never know which to buy from. I would love it if you could recommend me some!

โœ… Read & Recommend:

This section is about the books that I have read and recommend. I would usually have an additional Read and Do Not Recommend section, but none of the books on this list fit into that category.

๐Ÿ“š On My TBR:

These are books that I already had on my TBR.

โž•ย Added To My TBR:

These are books where I read the synopsis and I found them interesting enough to add to my TBR.

โž–ย Doesn’t Sound Interesting To Me:

All of the books on this list are ones that for some reason or other (most likely the synopsis didn’t grab me or I’m not a big fan of the genre), just didn’t appeal to me. If you have read them and think I should change my mind, please let me know!

โ“ย Still Not Sure About:

These are the books that I am still not sure if I want to discard, but not sure if I want to add to my TBR pile either. I would really appreciate your thoughts on them if you have read them!

Thank you for joining me today! I had SO much fun doing this post and even more fun talking with Octavia! I loved getting to look at her bookshelves and I found many great new books! I am looking forward to doing again soon with someone else’s shelves!
