January 7, 2019 REVIEW (5 STARS)-

I am so happy that I decided to reread this series. I had such a great time reading this book and it is just what I needed in my life right now. I was constantly laughing at the banter between Trisha and Slade and their story just makes my heart melt.
I am SO excited to continue my reread with Valiant’s story and that is why this review is so short. I just can’t wait to dive right in to it!

DECEMBER 12, 2017 REVIEW (4.5 Stars)-
MAJOR SPOILERS THROUGHOUT:
I loved this book and it only confirmed my feelings for the series. It was fast paced and constantly had my attention. I love that about this series; there is never a dull moment. The characters are great and all so unique. I have mentioned before that I find the New Species and the concept for them fascinating. The more I read about the species, the more I want to know about them.

Slade was so great. He was hilarious and I loved his sense of humor. I loved that he and Trisha had met before the book took place. I thought that was interesting and I was surprised that Slade didn’t realize that the girl he’s been obsessing over was Trisha. I liked that the author didn’t drag out the secret of their history and how Trisha told Slade rather quickly about her identity.

I loved Trisha. She had a gentle heart as a doctor but she also had a fire to her that I adored. There were many times that she blew up at Slade or others and I was like “You go girl!”. I am concerned about her pregnancy but I am also intrigued. The author could really go anywhere with it. Am I the only one that got Twilight vibes from this book because of that? I am really curious what will happen to Trisha and the baby and I hope the author continues that plot line in future books.

I am excited for the next book after meeting Valiant. I am curious where his story is going to go. He did mention that he wanted a mate at the end of this book but I am wondering if she will be human or New Species because he doesn’t really like humans but we have only gotten human female main characters so far. I can’t wait to read his book and find out!

The reason I didn’t give the book a full 5 Stars was because of the New Species females. I loved them in the first book and I really missed them in this installment.They weren’t present at all which I didn’t like. I missed Breeze and her attitude. I hope that will change in the future installments because I really want to see more of them. Obviously, I love this series and will be reading the next book.
