Today’s Top Ten Tuesday topic is Platonic Relationships in Books. These are in no particular order because I absolutely love them all.
∴ Jem and Will (The Infernal Devices Series by Cassandra Clare) ∴
This list would not be complete without these two. Will and Jem’s relationship is honestly one of the best relationships (let alone platonic relationships) out there and the love between them still brings me to tears.
∴ Jon and Sam (Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin ∴
The relationship between these two has always been interesting to me. It seems like they would be the most unlikely of friends and yet, they just seem to fit together perfectly.
∴ Manon and Abraxos (Throne of Glass Series by Sarah J. Maas) ∴
From the moment they met in Heir of Fire, I could feel the connection between these two through the pages. Manon starts off as such a bad/immoral person and to watch her connect with this scarred creature, of all things, was simply magical. These two just make my heart hurt so much.
∴ Lissa and Rose (Vampire Academy Series by Richelle Mead) ∴
There are many people out there who don’t like Vampire Academy and I will be the first to admit, it has its flaws. But these two aren’t one of them. The connection these two have is simply inspiring.
∴ Jace and Alec (The Mortal Instruments Series by Cassandra Clare) ∴
Freeform has a webpage up explaining 20 reasons why these two are the most perfect Parabatai relationship in the Shadowhunters universe which can explain it better than I ever could.
Here is a link for those who want to read it: Freeform webpage
∴ The Academy Boys (The Ghost Bird Series by C.L. Stone) ∴
I just love these guys! They are all so in tune with each other and the lengths they will go to keep their group intact it astonishing. Sang is just so lucky to have found them! *sighs*
∴ Chaol and Dorian ( Throne of Glass Series by Sarah J. Maas ) ∴
I have always found the dynamic between these two very interesting. Their unwavering loyalty towards each other and their dedication to the other one’s success has always intrigued me.
∴ Sevro and Darrow (Red Rising Series by Pierce Brown) ∴
These two. Their friendship is so… unique to me. Sevro is just so loyal and dedicated to Darrow, it is unbelievable. He would literally do anything for him. Plus, you know, the eyeball thing… Their relationship was the highlight of Red Rising for me.
∴ The Court of Dreams (A Court of Thorns and Roses Series by Sarah J. Maas) ∴
The Court of Dreams… need I say more?
∴ Nina and Inej (Six of Crows Series by Leigh Bardugo) ∴
These two are almost complete opposites, but they understand one another. I would read a whole book just about their adventures together.
Thank you for joining me on Top Ten Tuesday! What are some of your favorite platonic relationships?
